Since 1886, our congregation has welcomed people from around Botetourt County to join us in worship, service, and fellowship. GEPC strives to proclaim the gospel, love others, and to daily live out our faith, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Come and be a part of this faithful and friendly congregation!

ABOUT US
"In the summer of 1886, Rev. P. Frank Price encouraged the community to build a church. On December 3, 1887, Galatia Church, was officially organized by the Montgomery Presbytery in the new building located on a hill overlooking the beautiful James River Valley at Gala.

For most of of its first century, Galatia was served by supply and interim pastors, and later by student pastors in a yoked field. In 1984, the congregation called its first full time pastor, who served for thirty-two years until his retirement." The church has been blessed by several installed and interim pastors since then.

Our church continues to share the gospel and love and serve the people of Botetourt County. We participate in the local backpack program, Operation Christmas Child, and regularly donate to an organization that assist with disaster recovery.
